Florida Open Water Swimming Races 2023

The Tampa Bay Frogman Swim event was initially organized in an attempt to help one severely injured Navy SEAL. The mission of Tampa Bay Frogman Swim is to bring awareness across the country and support the Navy SEALs community. The event achieved a major success from the gate go. Today, people from all over the United States gather to swim together. All the donations and money for participation are then granted to all the wounded and fallen Navy SEALs and their families. Spots are limited to 175 people. The Tampa Bay Frogman Swim are ranked among the top non-profits in the US.

The AdventHealth 39th Annual Florida Challenge Triathlon - Intimidator is the largest endurance stage for athletes in the US. The event features more than just open water swims but various duathlons, triathlons, and relays. The US Triathlon federation organizes it, and it takes place in Clermont, Florida. You'll need a US Triathlon membership or a One-Day License to participate in the event.

Organized by Pensacola Sports, this swimming event named after Don Tristán de Luna reflects his lengthy yet ill-fated expedition to Pensacola Bay. An open-water swimming event was created in honor of the courage and resilience of De Luna, who made it through to Pensacola, despite suffering great losses. He showed both courage as well as his perseverance. It encourages swimmers to be like the legendary Don Tristan de Luna and drive themselves forward no matter the circumstances.

Swim Miami is the prominent Open Water Swim on the East Coast that gathers together swimming enthusiasts of all levels. Swim Across America is a wonderful event that John Hopkins Hospital organizes annually in Tampa Bay to help fund its cancer program. It allows all those proficient in swimming to make a difference by swimming in the ocean. Swim Across America has become increasingly popular amongst swimmers of Tampa Bay. It allows residents to use their talents and passion for a great cause and give back to the community. So far, Swim Across America has done tremendous work in funding the fight against cancer. We only hope that its impact continues to grow each year.

Dolphin Splash for kids (under the supervision of lifeguards)

All participants over 18 years are required to pay $500, and $200 for participants under 18. Those fixed fees are the minimum payment to participate in the event. All the donations go towards John Hopkins Hospital to fight cancer. Payments are considered donations and are 100% tax-deductible.
