Common misconceptions that keep people away from swimming
1
I’m too old to learn how to swim.
It’s a common stereotype that once you reach a certain age, you’re no longer able to learn new things. This simply isn’t true! No matter how old you are, it’s always possible to learn something new. Just because you didn’t learn how to swim as a child doesn’t mean you can’t learn now. In fact, learning to swim as an adult can be a great way to stay fit and active. There are plenty of resources available to help adults get started, including group swim classes, private swim lessons, and online swim programs. So don’t let the stereotype hold you back – if you want to learn to swim, there’s no time like the present!

Swimming is boring.
Swimming doesn't have to be a chore--it can actually be a lot of fun! There are plenty of ways to incorporate swimming into your weekend activities, like boating or going to the beach. And who doesn't love snorkeling? It's a great way to explore the underwater world and get up close and personal with some amazing sea life. Plus, it's a great way to bond with your kids--they'll love playing in the water with you! So next time you're feeling bored, give swimming a try--you might just find that it's more fun than you ever imagined.

"Swimming is too hard for me."
Swimming is often seen as a high-intensity activity that is too challenging for the average person. However, this stereotype is inaccurate and is based on a misunderstanding of what swimming entails. In reality, swimming can be a very enjoyable and accessible form of exercise for people of all fitness levels. Aerobic swimming, in particular, can be performed at a lower heart rate than other activities, making it ideal for those who are looking for a more gentle workout.
There are two significant differences between natural lighting and artificial sources. One is the character of the fill and the other is a more rapid fall-off in intensity. In nature, skylight fill is omni-directional and usually brighter from above. That "wrap around" characteristic is difficult to duplicate with a directional artificial source.
