Fast Swim Academy is a fast-growing Tampa Bay-based swimming school leading the way to safer swimming among residents. Since its inception in 2022, Fast Swim Academy has been determined to reduce drowning incidents across Florida by educating people on how to swim properly through the highest quality swimming instruction available.
As a comprehensive swimming resource, we aim to keep people of all ages and abilities safe in the water. From teaching proper swim safety techniques, helping learners build their confidence, and providing necessary rescue training. All of our instructors care about every student's progress from start to finish. Position Requirements
- Collegiate/professional swimming experienceWe are seeking an experienced swimming instructor for this role who has some collegiate or professional swimming experience. This swimming experience is essential to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position effectively.
- First Aid & CPR certificationAnyone applying for this position should have obtained both certifications before joining our team to enable them to act promptly in any emergency. With these qualifications, swimming instructors can rest assured that they can create a safe swimming environment for their students.
- 3+ years of teaching swimming experienceSuch extensive teaching swimming experience provides a candidate to offer more in-depth swimming insights and knowledge to the team and potential customers, which go beyond what would be expected from someone with less experience.
- Familiarity with training athletesEach swimmer is different and requires a different type of training in order to be successful. You have to be familiar with the training process and what it takes to get an athlete to the next level.
- Excellent communication skillsServing as a swimming instructor requires outstanding communication skills. An instructor must clearly and effectively communicate swimming techniques, safety protocols, and other rules. Excellent communication also involves the ability to listen actively and respond appropriate.
- Drive to constantly learnOnly those driven by continual development and self-motivation should apply for this position, as it demands the highest level of enthusiasm and professionalism to serve students best.
- Leadership capabilitiesAn ideal candidate for the position should possess the confidence and strength to set expectations and guide others while being adaptable to each student's needs.

- $55 - $100 an hourPaid per private swimming training session and group swimming training. You build your schedule and how many hours you want to work.
